Dortmund keen to keep Aubameyang

Cape Town - Arsenal are unlikely to succeed in a move for Borussia Dortmund star forward after comments from the club's sporting director.

Dortmund have no intention of parting with Gabon star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to the Daily Star.

The club's sporting director, Michael Zorc, issued a "hands off" warning after responding to talk that Arsene Wenger wants to bring the Dortmund star to the Premier League this summer.

"[We are] not interested in selling Aubameyang." Zorc said.

The 26-year-old forward has formed a potent partnership with Marco Reus in attack for Dortmund and the club are keen on keeping the duo at the Westfalenstadion next season as the former Bundesliga winners prepare for life without coach Jurgen Klopp.

The African star scored 26 goals last season, alerting a number of clubs to his talent in the final third of the pitch but a move away from his current club seems unlikely at this stage.

Aubameyang would reportedly cost in the region of £40 million and signals Wenger's intent in the transfer market.
