Di Maria rubbishes exit talk

Cape Town - Argentina star Angel Di Maria has insisted his intentions are to stay at Manchester United beyond the current transfer window.

After starting well at Old Trafford, the club's record signing failed to push on and ultimately suffered a dip in form.

Di Maria has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, a switch to Manchester City and recently Barcelona have been credited with an interest in the former Real Madrid star.

The 27-year-old playmaker has now firmly stated his desire to remain at the Theatre of Dreams after joining for £59.7 million, reports theGuardian.

“No, because I’m not thinking like that. In Madrid there were times when I was whistled around the stadium but faced it and then it turned around. I like to deal with things.” Di Maria answered Ole, who questioned whether he may look for a summer move.

Di Maria lost his place in the United lineup with a resurgent Ashley Young preferred on the left flank for the Red Devils, a situation that concerns the Argentine.

“Yes. For me, and my family. Because not everything goes as I want, because I don’t play,” he said.

“Because I came with an intention and end up on the bench. It’s hard to tell how I feel there. I started well, with goals and assists. I was having a good time, until I was out. It’s a little hard to explain why I do not play.”

Di Maria's house was also burgled during the season, adding further stress to his on field troubles.
