Cape Town - Manchester City could take their summer spending to the £100 mark by following Raheem Sterling's signing with that of Wolfsburg's Kevin De Bruyne.
The 24-year-old midfielder remains on manager Manuel Pellegrini's trasnfer list, according to the Telegraph.
De Bruyne endured a miserable time at Chelsea before joining Wolfsburg in January 2014 in a deal worth £18 million. The Bundesliga club's move proved to be a shrewd one as the Belgian midfielder went on to outshine his fellow colleagues in the Bundesliga.
De Bruyne consistency since his Wolfsburg move has put him firmly on the radar of Europe's elite clubs like PSG, City and Bayern Munich.
Pellegrini is now thought to be keen on pressing ahead with a move for midfielder despite the hefty fee that it will take to convince Wolfsburg to part with him.
English media report City will need to offer anything from between £35 and £50 million to sign De Bruyne this summer.
