Daniel Sturridge has missed an incredible amount of games for Liverpool

Cape Town - Daniel Sturridge's stay on the sideline is expected to increase after it was revealed that the English striker was injured during training.

Sturridge injured his thigh during training this week and is likely to miss the Reds trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday. (Read the full story here)

The 24-year-old has not played for the Merseyside club since August 31 after a thigh strain suffered while on England duty was followed by a calf problem he sustained while undergoing his first training session back at Liverpool.

In his absence, three Liverpool strikers have gone 1000 minutes without scoring for the Anfield club.

Sturridge has suffered THIRTEEN injuries since his arrival at the club and has missed a staggering 30 games as a result.
