Crystal Palace's transfers rated

Cape Town - Crystal Palace fans should be delighted with the work done in the off season by manager Alan Pardew.

Crystal Palace transfers rated: 8.5/10

Possibly the club that has done the best in the transfer window, adding Yohan Cabaye and Bakary Sako - and on a free - plus keeping Yannick Bolasie means Pardew can sleep easy after the window slammed shut.

Transfer summary:

In: Yohan Cabaye (PSG, undisclosed), Patrick Bamford (Chelsea, loan), Connor Wickham (Sunderland, undisclosed), Bakary Sako (Wolves, free), Alex McCarthy (QPR, £3.5m)

Out: Shola Ameobi (released), Lewis Price (released), Owen Garvan (released), Peter Ramage (released), Stephen Dobbie (released), Jerome Thomas (released), Kyle de Silva (released), Barry Bannan (Sheffield Wednesday), Hiram Boateng (Plymouth Argyle, loan), Jerome Binnom-Williams (Burton Albion), Christian Scales (Crawley, loan), Glenn Murray (Bournemouth, £5m)

Best bit of business: Cabaye or Sako - not sure who will ultimately prove to be the better signing.

Worst bit of business: Pardew may come to regret allowing Glenn Murray to leave but then again, he's got Patrick Bamford and Connor Wickham to take care of that role.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
