Crystal Palace set for new US owner

Cape Town - American businessman Josh Harris is aiming to add English Premiership club Crystal Palace to his stable of sports teams under his ownership.

Harris, who already owns  NBA franchise Philadelphia 76ers and NHL outfit New Jersey Devils, is nearing a takeover of the Eagles according tothe Telegraph.

The US-based businessman wants the £70 million deal done by the end of November.

Harris' plans for Crystal Palace include making sizeable funds available for transfers, including the January transfer window, as well as renovating the club's home ground, Selhurst Park, and improving the club's infrastructure.

The deal has been on-going for three months but the 49-year-old is set to become the newest owner of an English Premiership club within the next three weeks.
