Costa named EPL Player of the Month

Cape Town - Diego Costa has taken the English Premiership like a duck to water and has now picked up his first award in England.

The Premier League named Costa the Player of the Month for August.

Spanish striker Diego Costa has scored in every league fixture so far for Chelsea after joining in the summer from La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.

Jose Mourinho splashed out £32 million to lure Costa from Atletico Madrid and his early season form has left the Blues boss convinced that hefty price tag will look cheap by the end of the season.

Costa bagged a brace in the Blues 6-3 win over Everton while the profilic frontman also found the back of the net against Burnley and Leicester City.

Jose Mourinho's high-flying Chelsea host second placed Swansea City on Saturday, September 13 with Costa looking to continue his goal-scoring exploits for his new club.
