Clyne next on Rodgers' transfer list

Cape Town - Nathaniel Clyne is set to snub Manchester for Liverpool this summer, according to reports.

The Liverpool Echo report that Liverpool are the odds-on favourites to land Manchester United target Nathaniel Clyne in a summer move.

The British publication believe that Southampton have begun to prepare for life after Clyne, by proceeding with a move for Sporting Lisbon full-back Cedric Soares.

Clyne, an English international, has been linked with a move to Manchester United but now appears set for a move to Anfield.

Liverpool are ready to improve on their opening £10 million bid to land the 24-year-old star.

Clyne was a regular fixture in defence of Ronald Koeman's side last season and made 41 appearances in all competitions.

Clyne is set to join James Milner, Danny Ings and Adam Bogdan as new recruits this summer while the Reds are also working on a deal for 18-year-old Charlton defender Joe Gomez.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
