Cape Town - According to reports, Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne has agreed to join Manchester United.
Metro report that Clyne will join Louis van Gaal in a summer transfer worth around £17 million.
The British source believes the 24-year-old right back has already agreed a move with the Old Trafford club, crediting The Daily Mirror's reporter David McDonnell for breaking the news.
According to The Daily Mirror, Manchester United are willing to offer out of favour Mexico forward Javier Hernandez to convince Ronald Koeman to part ways with his star defender.
Clyne has been in brilliant form this season, attracting interest from Manchester United, their city rival's Manchester City as well as league leaders, Chelsea.
Manchester United appear to have won the race for Clyne's signature.
Clyne's time at Southampton appears to be reaching a conclusion after Saints manager dropped the England international for the clash against Hull.
Shortly after the Hull match, Clyne told press: “I'm flattered by the interest from the big clubs,” before adding “It shows that I'm doing well and I've had a good season."
Clyne's current deal expires in 2016.
