Cape Town - Tom Cleverley's future at Old Trafford still remains uncertain,
as the midfielder seems set on a loan move to Everton.
According to the Mirror, Cleverley has been linked with a move to Goodison Park to be reunited with former boss Roberto Martinez.
The England international played under Martinez at Wigan and has been told by United manager Louis van Gaal that he can leave the club to join up with his former manager.
A loan deal for the 25-year-old midfielder would cost Everton £2m-3m, as well as his £50,0000-a-week wages, with a view to a permanent deal next year. While United would prefer a £7m permanent move to Aston Villa in an effort to recoup some of the money from their big Summer spendings, sources close to Cleverley say Everton is his first choice.
