Cape Town - On-loan Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverley believes Roy Keane can help him force his way back into the England setup.
Currently on a season-long loan from Manchester United, Cleverly has been working closely with Red Devils legend Keane, who is manager Paul Lambert's assistant at Villa Park.
Cleverley had come in for a lot of criticism last season following a string of poor performances for United and has not played for England since a goalless draw with Ukraine in September 2013.
However, after being left out again by Roy Hodgson for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia, the 25-year-old is confident he can get back to his best under Keane's tutelage.
"Roy is demanding. He’s trying to add things into my game that I know I can do," the 25-year-old told the Daily Star.
"He’s pushing me to my limits and hopefully we can get that extra couple more per cent. When things need saying, he says them.
"At United you’re told to play the right way and sometimes last year maybe I was being too much of a perfectionist.
"Sometimes you can take a few more risks which are needed to win games. That’s a side of my game which Roy and the manager (Paul Lambert) are getting back."
