Cape Town - Manchester City have not been deterred in the their move for unsettled Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling.
The Manchester Evening News reports that City will make an improved offer for Sterling.
Manchester City will lodge a second bid for Raheem Sterling, expected to be in the region of £40 million after seeing their initial £30 million rejected by the Reds this week.
Sterling has just one year left on his current deal and has to date, rejected any chance of extending his contract at Anfield.
The Manchester club's director of football Txiki Begiristain faces a long summer trying to get deals done for his three top targets - Sterling, Juventus ace Paul Pogba and former Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
