City to enter Ramos race - reports

Cape Town - Reports from England suggest Manchester City will battle Manchester United for the signature of Sergio Ramos.

The Mirror report that Real Madrid will have to fight off interest from the two Manchester giants in order to keep defender Sergio Ramos at the club beyond the summer.

Real Madrid have resisted the urge to cash in on Ramos and are demanding £64 million for Spanish international.

The 29-year-old centre-back is reportedly open to quitting the La Liga this summer after poor .

Real Madrid have already snubbed the initial £28.37 million (€40 million) offer for Ramos from Manchester United and will now be tested with a fresh £35.5 million offer for their veteran defender.
