Manchester - Manchester City have stayed in the hunt for the English Premiership title with a 3-1 win at home to West Bromwich Albion on Monday.
Victory saw Manuel Pellegrini's side close to within six points of leaders Liverpool with a game in hand.
Third-placed City - who after Monday's match have four league games remaining this season compared to Liverpool's three -- were 2-0 up inside 10 minutes thanks to goals from Pablo Zabaleta and Sergio Aguero.
However, the Baggies - still only three points above the relegation zone - pulled one back through Graham Dorrans.
But City defender Martin Demichelis restored City's two-goal lead before the interval when he turned in a 36th minute corner.
League Cup winners City continue their title bid away to in-form Crystal Palace on Sunday.
