City after home-grown Delph

Cape Town - Aston Villa's England international midfielder Fabian Delph could be joining Manchester City this summer.

The Daily Mail report that Fabian Delph has a release clause of just £8 million.

The 25-year-old midfielder starred for Aston Villa in their fight against the drop this season and has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester City.

City are looking to bolster their squad with home grown players and following James Milner's departure to Liverpool, Delph could be heading to the Etihad in the summer.

Delph re-signed with the Villians in January, just six months before his contract was due to expire.

Delph's form in the latter half of the season helped inspire Villa to a FA Cup final spot as well as a call-up to the national squad.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
