Chelsea see off Blackburn

London - Branislav Ivanovic scored one goal and created the other as Chelsea beat Blackburn 2-0 Saturday to revive the London club's struggling Premier League campaign.

Ivanovic slotted in from a tight angle in the 57th minute to give Chelsea the lead, and then sent a thumping header from a corner toward goal for Nicolas Anelka to steer into the net in the 76th.

The win puts Chelsea back into the top four in the standings, although Tottenham could reclaim fourth place when they play Manchester United on Sunday.

The defending Premier League champions had taken just 10 points from their last 10 matches and slipped from top to fifth in two months.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
