Cazorla confirms Arsenal stay

Cape Town - Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has curbed rumours that he might leave the Gunners.

According to the Daily Mirror, Cazorla has been linked with a move to La Liga Champions Atletico Madrid but the 29-year-old was quick to put speculation to bed.

“I’ve seen that (reports of a move) in the papers, but nobody has told me anything personally and the only things I know are from the papers, so I don't know anything,” Cazorla said.

The midfielder has said that the rumours are just paper talk and instead is looking forward to good season with Gunners

“I'm only focused on training here and preparing well playing with Arsenal. It's paper talk. I have the confidence of everybody, the support of the fans and we hope to have a good season.”

Meanwhile Arsenal start their English Premiership campaign against Crystal Palace at 18:30 on Saturday, August 16.
