Cape Town - The signs are growing clearer by the day that Manchester United will be unsuccessful in their pursuit of Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos.
Ramos' future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been the subject of much speculation this summer and teammate Dani Carvajal also been probed by the media on the matter.
Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal believes will remain in Spain next season, according tothe Independent.
Speaking to Spanish newspaper AS, Carvajal said: "I don't know. All I do know is that he is a team-mate of ours and a cornerstone of Real Madrid, and no one can imagine him in the shirt of another club."
Carvajal also opened up the option that Ramos' is using United's interest to ensure a bumper new contract at Madrid.
Ramos' contract at Los Blancos expires in 2017.
Real Madrid have rejected one offer from Manchester United for Ramos as the two European giants continue to battle over transfers involving the two famous clubs.
