Cape Town - West Ham United are ready to cut their losses on injury prone striker Andy Carroll in the January transfer window.
The Newcastle Chronicle report that Sam Allardyce will offer Newcastle the services of former striker Andy Carroll.
Carroll made just 16 appearances for West Ham last season after completing a move from Liverpool and is still on the injured list this season.
West Ham appear to have run out of patience with Carroll and his persistent injuries and will offer Alan Pardew the chance to bring Carroll back to St James' Park.
Sam Allardyce now has Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia and Mauricio Zarate to choose from up front, making Carroll surplus to requirements.
Carroll's prolific form at Newcastle saw him seal a £35 million move to Liverpool in January 2011.
