Cape Town - Arsenal’s Joel Campbell is ready to leave the Londoners in January after growing increasingly frustrated at a lack
of first team chances.
The 22-year-old, who starred for Costa Rica in the World Cup, has been giving limited playing time, starting just one game this season in the Capital One Cup against Southampton.
According to the Mirror, Campbell was visibly upset over being axed from the first team squad for the games against Burnley and Anderlecht, and has left his team mates and management in no doubt that he is fed-up and angry with the latest snubs.
Campbell was frustrated when manager Arsene Wenger blocked him from a move to Benfica in August, but was hoping that would mean regular game time at the Gunners. Having started just one game and making three substitute appearances, however, Campbell has grown impatient and is ready to leave the Emirates.
