Cameroon star in demand

Cape Town - Cameroon international Stephane Mbia is being linked with four top English Premiership clubs after being released by QPR in the close season.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal lead three other English Premiership clubs in a race to sign free agent Stephane Mbia.

Mbia spent last season on loan with Sevilla and captured a Europa League winner's medal in the process.

The Cameroon star wants a reported £60 000 a week salary which is pricing him out of a return to the Spanish club.

Arsene Wenger is interested in bringing a defense minded midfielder to the club and with moves for Sami Khedira and Lars Bender not progressing, Mbia has turned into a viable option for the French manager.

Newcastle, West Ham and Crystal Palace are also interested in Mbia.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
