Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has GPS trackers monitoring his players during grueling training-ground workouts.

The Daily Express report that Nacer Chadli has revealed the physical demands that Pochettino places on his side and the lengths that his manager goes to monitor his squad.

Since his summer arrival at White Hart Lane, Pochettino has his squad doing double training sessions with the emphasis on a high-tempo pressing game.

The Spurs' manager has fitted GPS trackers to his player to study their fitness levels.

"We always train with GPS." revealed Belgium midfielder Nacer Chadli.

"They are looking at players if they get tired, they can see it on that. The amount we run, they can check everything.

"The manager says before we start that we have to be sharp. He wants to make everyone sharp and be well-trained."

Chadli also revealed that there is no way to trick his manager or the GPS.

"You cannot cheat. Or you put the GPS on a cat, I've tried!" said Chadli.

Tottenham Hotspur's fitness levels will be put to the test with six matches in the next 17 days, beginning with their Europa League clash against Serie A side Fiorentina on Thursday.
