Chigwell - David Beckham is likely to join Tottenham Hotspur on loan from LA Galaxy, the Premiership club's manager Harry Redknapp said on Friday.

"The talks (between the clubs) are going on and there's a good chance it could happen," Redknapp told reporters at the club's training ground.

"There's not too much to sort out. I think it will get done.

"We're sorting out the length of the loan. I don't think it's a financial issue, certainly not from David's point of view."

Redknapp added that Beckham could be introduced to the Tottenham fans at their FA Cup third round match at home to Charlton Athletic on Sunday.

Brilliant addition... Spurs don't need him but his experience will prove invaluable... Still need to buy a great holding midfielder though to complete the side...

By the way, it's a year ending in one... Spurs fans would know what this means...

There's no logical reason why Spurs would want to take Beckham on loan? They've got a team that's working really well together and the system and type of soccer they playing doesn't suit Beckham's style.

They'll probably flog a couple of jerseys and that should justify it to them. Can't see how he's really gonna improve them unless it's for his influence in the dressing room.

David Beckham apart from his great work ethic and professionalism will feed the Spurs team with the desire and hunger to believe that they could do great things this season...Spurs are playing an enterprising brand of football but I agree with Seraj that a holding midfielder in the mould of De jongh or Iniesta is reqiured to round up the line up...Keep going Spurs...
