Bale one of the 'world's best'

2012-12-27 09:11

Birmingham - Gareth Bale was hailed as one of the world's best players on Wednesday after a quickfire hat-trick steered Tottenham to a 4-0 win over Aston Villa.

The Welsh international scored in the 61st, 73rd and 84th minutes at Villa Park as Tottenham went into fourth place in the Premier League.

"He is up there with the best," said Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas.

"He is showing tremendous skills and talent, I think he is improving every day - he is such a young player - and he is helping the team. He is one of our major assets.

"The team changes so much from one year to another, and as he keeps learning, he will feel even better and probably his performances will improve. His finishing is very accurate. He has been prolific in front of goal this season and I think he is enjoying getting into those positions."

Oh No!! AVB, Why shout this out??? Ferguson will "swoop"on him now, and Bale will end up sitting on the bench at United, just as Berbatov, and countless other Spurs players have found to their cost, not only Financially, but also "playing time wise"!

@Peter. I agree with what you're saying but Bale will never sit on any bench at any team in the world. He is far to good for that.

Gareth Bale is one of the best really...but he should be kept away from the eyes of some coaches whose main pre-occupation every season is to prey on the jewels of other clubs. I must tell you, I respect Alex Ferguson for all that he has been able to achieve in those donkey years that he had spent with the Red Devils. I must also tell you that he remains one of the most useless that I have ever seen, in the sense that he waits to reap from the sweats of other hard-working coaches.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know Bale is one of the best. Oh.... and Man United can't afford him haha.

      Neither can you lot!

      leedsunitedfc - 2012-12-27 15:42

Haha I never once claimed Leeds could. I can guarantee that they cant afford him. He would cost 35million +. Thats why man united are never linked with players like Falcao.

well considering Bale is welsh, I don't even see why your comment is even relevant...
