Cape Town - Atletico Madrid want to add a player from each of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United as they look to defend their La Liga crown this season.
According to the Daily Star, several reports emanating out of Spain suggest that the La Liga champions are chasing a trio of highly rated English Premiership players including Manchester United's Javier Hernandez.
Atletico are ready to make a move for both Santi Cazorla and Fernando Torres, with the pair falling down the pecking order at Arsenal and Chelsea respectively.
Atletico Madrid's manager Diego Simeone is ready to pounce on the uncertainty regarding the future of Mexican striker Javier Hernandez with some reports suggesting that Atletico and Hernandez are already discussing personal terms.
"We speak to the sporting directors, we gave them the ideas on the type of players we want and then they get the players," Simeone said.
"With Javier Hernandez and plenty of other great players, anything is possible. We can't close the door to anyone until the transfer window closes."
Atletico have already signed Antoine Griezmann from Real Sociedad and forward Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich this summer but are looking to strengthen their squad in order to push for European honours.
The club is in a stable financial position after selling stars Diego Costs and Filipe Luis to Chelsea for a combined fee in the region of £55 million.
