Arsenal to snap up Vidal - reports

Cape Town - Arsenal are set to land Chile star Arturo Vidal after the completion of the 2015 Copa America, according to reports.

Vidal's Chile are through to the semi-final at home as they bid to end a century of disappointment in the continental showpiece but at the same time the attacking midfielder appears to have agreed a deal to join the Gunners.

Various sources, including the Telegraph and Chilean newspaper La Stampa, report that Arsenal are expected to sign the Juventus midfielder in a deal worth over £21 million.

Spanish radio station Cadena Cope, suggest that a deal for Vidal is 90% complete.

Juventus may be looking to cash in on Vidal to fund a move for Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia.

Vidal has spent three seasons with Juventus and has two years left on his current deal.

The 28-year-old Chilean has been the subject of prolonged interest from Manchester United but it appears that a move to London to join the Gunners is far more likely.
