Arsenal not giving up Cavani chase

Cape Town - Arsene Wenger is ready to admit defeat in Arsenal's bid to seal a sensational transfer for Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani.

According to the Metro, Wenger will continue to pursue a move to bring Edinson Cavani to the English Premiership

After Liverpool's interest in the star player failed to materilise, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stepped up his interest in the forward.

The player's agent has admitted that Arsenal have enquired into the services of the striker but the player himself has suggested that he will remain in France's Ligue 1 for the 2014/15 season.

Reports suggest that Cavani would cost in the region of £51 million for a permanent deal.
