report that Everton are interested in signing French midfielder Clement Chantome from PSG but the deal may be scuppered by Arsenal.

Reports in France suggest that Arsene Wenger may sign PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot in a deal worth £5.6 million.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez may then lose out on his long term target, 26-year-old Chantome, as PSG are unlikely to allow two midfielders to leave the club during this transfer window.

Martinez has reportedly stepped up the chase for Chantome after doubts surrounding the injury suffered to star player Ross Barkley.

Sport24 reported on Wenger's interest in the French starlet Rabiot earlier in the month. Read that story HERE!
