According to the Telegraph, Arsene Wenger wants to bring in a centre back to solve his mini-crisis developing at the club.
Kieran Gibbs is out injured while Thomas Vermaelen and Bacary Sagna were sold in the summer, meaning Wenger only has Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker as the specialist centre backs in the Gunners squad.
Wenger has identified Olympiakos defender Kostas Manolas as the player to solve his injury woes.
Manolas was outstanding for the Greek national time in Brazil and his excellent displays at the World Cup might see him make a switch to the London club.
The 23-year-old defender is valued at £6 million which has Arsenal very interested in making a move for the defender.
