Cape Town - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has kick-started the Gunners' summer transfer business with an £18million offer for Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann.
According to the Metro, Griezmann has been a long-term target for Wenger, who reported made an offer for him back in January.
Sociedad insisted the French winger would stay put at the club last time around, but with a formal offer from Arsenal and interest from Juventus as well, Griezmann's future is uncertain.
It is thought that the player would prefer a move to England as opposed to playing in Italy.
If a deal happens, he could follow team-mate Carlos Vela to the Emirates Stadium this summer, with Arsenal ready to take up their option to buy the Mexican back.
