Cape Town -  Brazil defender Dani Alves will quit Barcelona at the end of the season for a move to Ligue 1 and not the English Premiership, according to reports.

According to MARCA, Dani Alves has agreed to join Paris St Germain at the end of the season when his current deal with the Catalan giants expires.

Alves' future has been the subject of much transfer speculation, with many reports indicating that the Brazilian would end up in the  English Premiership with Liverpool and Manchester United both interested in his services.

The Spanish newspaper now reports that PSG have secured a deal worth €9 million per season for the attacking right back to join the Ligue 1 giants.

Alves is 31-years-old and has played for Barcelona for the past seven seasons.

Paris St Germain already boast four top Brazilians in their squad including David Luiz, Marquinhos, Maxwell and Thiago Silva.
