Zidane: This won't be like Wolfsburg

Cape Town - Zinedine Zidane is under no illusions about how difficult a challenge Manchester City will prove to be in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg.

In his pre-match press conference, the Real Madrid coach made it clear supporters should not expect a replay of the second leg of their quarter final match against Wolfsburg.

Los Blancos staged a remarkable comeback in the home leg of the fixture, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the three goals that his side needed to overcome their two-goal aggregate deficit.

"As always we respect our opponents. They have very good players, especially in attack," Zidane told reporters, referring to City forward Sergio Aguero, a player who is in excellent form in the Premier League.

"Aguero has all my respect and he is a key player for City," the Real legend said. "A very good player, but we will not do anything special to stop him.

"But we’re going to focus on our game, as usual.

"I’d like to say that this match isn’t going to be like the second leg against Wolfsburg, that’s clear. We mustn’t think that we can score two or three goals in 15 minutes. That doesn’t happen at this level. I’s a different game. Completely different. But we’re ready.

"We know that it’s going to be tough. From the kick-off to the final whistle and maybe beyond. What’s important is that we’re ready for it," he concluded.

The two teams played to a 0-0 draw in the first leg played at the Etihad Stadium.

Crucially, the competition's all-time top scorer, Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, played no part in the match due to injury, but has been declarded fit for for Wednesday night's encounter.
