Zidane can't wait for Saturday

Cape Town - Real Madrid coach Zinedene Zidane expressed his excitement over the upcoming Champions League final, heaping praise on his counterpart at Atletico Madrid.

The final is the biggest managerial challenge the Real legend, who took over coaching duties from sacked manager Rafael Benitez in January this year, has faced in his short career.

The three-time FIFA World Player of the Year is, understandably, extremely excited for the final.

"It’s two months since we lost to Atletico in the League," he said, referring to his side's 1-0 home loss, the last time the two clubs met.

"We’ve worked well since then. Losing a final is difficult. At this moment we don’t think about losing [to Atletico], just what we can do to win.

"I wish it was Saturday already," he added.

"I’m happy and excited. The feelings are mixed. What I can say is I am very lucky to share this with the players. I have a lot to learn but the desire to learn is tremendous. I’ll improve, I’m convinced. But I have a lot to learn to be a great coach," the Frenchman concluded.
