London - Arsene Wenger is eager to give Arsenal the best possible chance in the Champions League by winning Group A.
The Gunners currently occupy first position in the group, on goal difference ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, with seven points from three games.
They will face Ludogorets in Bulgaria on Tuesday night, and a win would see them remain at least level with PSG, who host Basel. A victory would also see Arsenal qualify for the knockout stage, should PSG avoid defeat.
"It's our prime target to win the group," said Wenger during a press conference.
"We have a home game with Paris Saint-Germain to come so we have a good opportunity on Tuesday.
"For the second-leg of the last 16 at home, if it goes to extra-time or penalties...it's a little advantage. They are all little advantages added together.
"We have paid the price many times when we've finished second in the group, having to play Barcelona or Bayern Munich.
"If you can finish first, why finish second. We always try to finish first."
Kick-off is at 21:45 (SA time).
