Shakhtar secure dramatic draw at Zagreb

Cape Town - Shakhtar Donetsk scored twice in stoppage time to secure a dramatic 3-3 draw away to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Both teams were reduced to ten men in a dramatic night of Champions League action as the draw left both sides level in Group on five points after four games played in Group C.

Alan Patrick gave Shakhtar an early lead before Bruno Petkovic replied for the hosts with the sides tied at 1-1 at the break.

With both sides reduced to ten men early in the second half Dinamo raced to a two-goal lead with the second coming late in the 89th minute.

The visitors though had other ideas as Shakhtar pulled a goal back in the third minute of stoppage time before drawing level through a late penalty in the 98th minute.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
