Cape Town - Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau impressed as Belgian side Club Brugge pulled off an unlikely draw at Real Madrid who scored late to salvage a point at the Santiago Berbebau on Tuesday.
Madrid were run ragged in the first half by a brilliant Brugge and their speedy attack with striker Emmanuel Dennis scoring twice to stun the Santiago Bernebeu crowd.
Tau looked lively in the opening stages and beat Sergio Ramos' offside trap before playing in a square ball for Dennis who slotted the ball past Thibaut Courtois.
Dennis doubled the away side's lead as Real Madrid were left staring down their second consecutive defeat of the Champions League group stages after a 3-0 humbling by PSG.
Madrid though, came storming back as Sergio Ramos headed in, before Casemiro claimed a dramatic equaliser in the 85th minute, seconds after Brugge's Ruud Vormer had been sent off for a second yellow card.
"The first goal we concede is laughable," Zidane said in his post-match press conference. "It's not that I'm happy for getting a point, but I'm happy with the reaction.
"The first-half part was bad, we did not enter focused and the first goal they scored is laughable. The second-half was totally different and we did 45 minutes as we have never done. I want to keep the 45 minutes of the second half."
