Cape Town - Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says Joe Hart has a chance of returning to the starting XI when they face Steaua Bucharest in the second-leg of the UEFA Champions League play-offs.

Hart was dropped for the Citizens opening three games this season as the Spaniard made it known that he needed a new shot-stopper capable of playing as a sweeper-keeper.

With Chile captain Claudio Bravo in Manchester this week and on the cusp of a £17 million transfer from Barcelona, he will likely be in the stands for the match to oversee Hart's return to the first team.

"[Hart] has a chance to play. I have said many times, he is a player of us," he told BT Sport. "Until the 31st of this month, all the players here are our players and I work with them like there is no end. After, we will speak.

"I have an excellent relationship with Joe. We were clear, him with me and I with him, and we spoke about our football."

The former Bayern Munich head coach remained mum about the Bravo transfer but, with the player pictured at Manchester Airport, he did not deny negotiations were at an advanced stage.

"I cannot deny what everybody knows but, sorry, the deal is not complete. After that I will be open to answer questions but in this moment he is not our player."
