Cape Town - Former
Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann believes Alexis Sanchez would be a good
signing for Bayern Munich, even if he is a bit rough around the edges.
The Chilean forward looked to have become unsettled at the Gunners over the last few months, following a disappointing period of results that resulted in visible frustration from the player on the pitch.
A host of clubs are reportedly keen on adding Sanchez to their ranks in the off-season, and Lehmann believes Bayern Munich would not regret bringing the 28-year-old to the Allianz Arena.
“He would fit in at Bayern, although he is not the typical wide player they are seeking,” Lehmann told Sky Deutschland.
“He likes to cut inside, I have seen players that make better decisions on the pitch, but perhaps he can learn that.
“He is a street footballer, you notice that when he is on the pitch. Playing him in a system is not so easy but it would be nice to see him in the Bundesliga.”
Sanchez has scored 24 goals across all competitions this season, in addition to 18 assists.
The action gets underway at 20:45.
