Cape Town - There was some praise from Roy Keane for Yaya Toure following Manchester City's Champions League win over Dynamo Kiev, but the former Manchester United captain still feels the Ivorian is "a frustrating player to watch".
Toure would be the first to admit that his form has dipped in recent months while there is also speculation about his future at the Etihad Stadium following the announcement that Pep Guardiala is to replace Manuel Pellegrini next season.
However, Toure produced a vintage display in the first leg of the last-16 tie away in Ukraine on Wednesday evening as he had a hand in Sergio Aguero's opening strike and then scored a great goal to give City a 3-1 win.
It was a brilliant all-round performance and Keane was impressed, but he admits Toure can be "bad" when he's not up for it.
"On his day he’s a wonderful player," he said during ITV's Champions League highlights show.
"Tonight he had a lot of freedom to go and play off the front, but he certainly is a frustrating player to watch because I’ve seen him on certain days where he doesn't look up for it.
"On his bad days he’s bad.
"He certainly doesn’t like running back, and he’s getting a little bit older."
