Cape Town - Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte has warned his players that they will need to be at their very best to deal with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Italian outfit will head to the Westfalenstadion sitting in second spot in Group F, level on four points with BVB.
Barcelona are top of the pile with seven points and it is likely that the teams meeting on Tuesday will be vying for second spot in the group.
Therefore it is a pivotal clash, something Conte acknowledged to reporters at Tuesday’s pre-match press conference.
"The game against Dortmund is an important one," he said. "In our group, Barcelona have taken control and look set to progress. This is what we're playing for."
Inter are enjoying an excellent campaign domestically and sit just one place and one point behind table-topping Juventus.
They are six clear of third-placed Roma and it may well be a two-horse race for the Scudetto.
Whether a run in Europe affects their Serie A form only time will tell, but Conte has made it clear that his men will not arrive in Dortmund just to park the bus and play for a point.
"Anyone who expects a defensive game from us is mistaken," he added. "We'll show up to play the game we know, taking the game to the opposition."
Slavia Prague are the other side in the group but do no look like contenders for the last 16, having taken just a solitary point courtesy of a 1-1 draw with Inter on match-day one.
