Schneiderlin injury blow for Man United

London - Morgan Schneiderlin is a doubt for Manchester United's Champions League home game with CSKA Moscow on Tuesday after being absent from Monday's pre-match training session.

The French holding midfielder played the entirety of Saturday's 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace, but missed the open part of the training session at the club's Carrington training base in southwest Manchester on Monday.

Injured pair Antonio Valencia and James Wilson also sat out training, while Phil Jones and Memphis Depay, who missed the game at Selhurst Park, trained separately from the rest of the squad.

United are already without long-term injury victims Luke Shaw (broken leg) and Paddy McNair (abdomen).

Louis van Gaal's side, who have not scored in three games, are level with CSKA on four points in Group B, two points below leaders Wolfsburg

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
