Gelsenkirchen - Schalke came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Maribor in their Champions League Group G match on Tuesday.
Damjan Bohar put Maribor ahead in the 37th, while Klaas Jan Huntelaar equalised in the 56th minute.
On both goals, another player was offside and hindered the respective goalkeeper, but the calls never came.
Schalke had more possession but could not translate the dominance into more goals.
Maribor often defended with eight men but always looked dangerous on the break.
Both teams also drew their opening group matches and have two points each.
Bohar scored after Mitja Viler was left unmarked on the left to send a useful low cross to Bohar, who slotted home.
But it was Viler's disastrous back pass that led to Huntelaar's equalizer.
