Cape Town - German international midfielder, Sami Khedira, says he will continue to give his all for Real Madrid after acknowledging that he "is not fan favourite".

The Express report that Sami Khedira was booed by his own fans against Schalke on Tuesday night.

"I have also been booed when I came off the bench." said Khedira.

"I am fully aware of the fact that I am not a fan favourite here.

"I will give it my all for the club until the last minute, and what happens in the summer is still a long way off. I am open for many things."

The 2014 Soccer World Cup winner's contract expires at the end of the season, with the midfielder looking set to leave the European champions seemingly preferring a return to the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich remain the favourites to land the 27-year-old's signature while Schalke are also keen on securing a deal for the player.

English Premiership clubs Arsenal and Chelsea are the front-runners should Khedira opt to move to England.
