Hart confident City will bounce back

Cape Town - Goalkeeper Joe Hart is confident in his side's ability to bounce back after losing to German champions Bayern Munich.

Manchester City came within minutes of earning a respectable draw at Bayern Munich only to lose to a goal from ex-City player Jerome Boateng.

Joe Hart, Manchester City's best player on the night, has assured fans of the Sky Blues that his side will go on to qualify for the knockout rounds according to the BBC.

"Last year we had a poor start against Bayern but we won the rest of our games and qualified - we're confident we can do it again this time," said Hart.

"We fought hard all night against a really good team and had chances as well,"

"We played well but just a nasty deflection at the end hurt. Jerome Boateng came back to haunt us." said Hart.

"We made good clearances, we made good blocks and we made them work hard for everything."

"We showed that we can match Bayern Munich but we have some very tough games now and we have to play well against CSKA and Roma," added Hart.

"It's very bad because until the end we were focused and we conceded a poor goal,"

"We played against great players, one of the best teams in Europe but we defended as a team.

"We need to think about Chelsea now as we have a very difficult game on Sunday."

Hart and Manchester City now face the prospect of stopping a rampant Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday.

The match kicks off at 17:00.
