Celtic revive their CL hopes

Glasgow - Celtic have revived its Champions League campaign by beating Ajax Amsterdam 2-1 on Tuesday thanks to goals by James Forrest and Beram Kayal.

WRAP: Champions League

Ajax midfielder Stefano Denswil had a night to forget in Glasgow, bringing down Anthony Stokes to allow Forrest to convert a penalty in the 43rd minute of a lackluster first half.

Denswil then deflected Kayal's shot into his own net in the 53rd minute to make it 2-0 and leave the Dutch side on just one point from three games.

Celtic played the final three minutes 10 men after substitute Nir Biton was red-carded for a studs-up tackle on Thulani Serero, and conceded a goal to Lasse Schone with seconds left.

Celtic, which started in Group H with two losses, is two points behind second-place AC Milan.
