Cape Town - Gareth Bale looks set to make a return to Real Madrid's first team when they take on Juventus in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League next week.
The Welshman has been out of action for near on two weeks after recently suffering a calf injury. He is expected to play a part in Madrid's La Liga match against Sevilla on Satuday, ahead of the much-awaited encounter against the Italian giants.
"Gareth is doing work on his own and will do the same tomorrow," Real coach Carlo Ancelotti told BBC Football.
"If all goes well, then he will begin to train with the team again on Thursday."
Ancelloti is also hoping that French striker Karim Benzema, who went on to Real's casualty list in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Atletico Madrid, will return for the European cup clash.
European glory is not only their only target, as Madrid are also battling with arch-rivals Barcelona for the Spanish title.
"We have a tough calendar, the matches are very difficult. But we have confidence we can play well because the team is in good shape, it's fresh and can compete in all the games," Ancelotti added.
"It's a time of the season when all the games are life and death for every team."
