Capello happy with Euro draw

London - England manager Fabio Capello on Saturday described himself as satisfied with the draw for Euro 2012, describing England's group as "balanced".

England was grouped with France, Sweden and Ukraine in Friday's draw for the finals which begin in Poland and Ukraine next June.

"I think Group B was the worst, Group A was better," Capello said. Group B features the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and Portugal, while A is comprised of Poland, Greece, Russia and the Czech Republic.

"We have a balanced group, we need to play against Ukraine, one of the hosts of the tournament, and I remember them from when we played them in the qualifiers for the World Cup."

England beat Ukraine 2-1 at Wembley, but when down 1-0 in Dnipropetrovsk after having goalkeeper Rob Green sent off early on.

England start against France, a side against whom they have lost four and drawn one of their last five meetings.

"Against France will be a tough game, usually the first game is really difficult and it will be difficult for us, it will be difficult also for France," Capello said.

Capello insisted he was happy to be based in Krakow despite playing all three group games in Ukraine. "It is better to find a really good place and good facilities, and we will stay in Krakow and travel," he said.
