Khumalo to join Doncaster?

Cape Town - Former Bafana Bafana captain Bongani Khumalo could join compatriot Dean Furman at English Championship side Doncaster Rovers.

According to the Football411 website, the Tottenham defender underwent a trial at Doncaster in a pre-season friendly against Bristol City over the weekend.

The 26-year-old is available on loan from Spurs, whom he has yet to play for in the English Premier League since joining them from  SuperSport United in 2011. He will be hoping the Doncaster deal works out as earlier deal with Ipswich Town was rejected by Spurs.

Khumalo spent last season on loan at POAK Salonika in Greece.

He last represented his country in this year's Africa Cup of Nations.
