Benzema caught speeding

Madrid - Spanish police say Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema was caught for speeding at more than 100 km per hour (62 mph) above the limit.

Police said on Thursday that Benzema has been charged with reckless driving after being caught going 216 kph (134 mph) in a speed zone of 100 kph in Madrid on February 3. Police say the France international faces losing his license and a fine.

In June 2011, Benzema was fined for reckless driving when police caught him racing through the city center on the Mediterranean island Ibiza.

Madrid plays Barcelona on Saturday in the Spanish league before visiting Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
