2016-10-22 15:40

Cape Town - SAFA Technical Director Neil Tovey, who suffered a heart attack last weekend, will be discharged from hospital either on Sunday or Monday.

That was the word from the former Bafana Bafana captain's brother.

"He underwent blood tests this morning (Saturday) for doctors to determine his progress. He took a shower and had a short walk," Mark Tovey said.

"The doctors have confirmed that he will be discharged either on Sunday or Monday and that is a huge relief for the entire family.

"This is an incredible story and once again I would like to thank all South Africans for their prayers; this has been like a miracle."

Tovey has had been in intensive care for the entire week and was originally in a critical condition.
